Life Support Alliance is an advocacy group dedicated to promoting the fair, unbiased consideration and granting of parole dates to eligible term-to-life prisoners in the California prison system.
Ten Toes In serves as a Mentorship and Domestic Violence Prevention Program. To support, educate and empower couples during and after incarceration. To educate society about the dynamics of a prison relationship.
This resource was developed with the goal to encourage and support positive relationships of families with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children of incarcerated fathers or fathers on probation or parole. Head Start programs may find this resource useful.
LSPC organizes communities impacted by the criminal justice system and advocates to release incarcerated people, to restore human and civil rights and to reunify families and communities. The Felony Murder Elimination Project, a growing group of concerned citizens whose goal is the elimination of the Felony Murder Rule from California law. We strive not only to bring an end to the Felony Murder Rule but to bring relief to those who are serving harsh and manifestly disproportionate sentences by its application. It is our belief that everyone should be held accountable for their actions, but only in proportion to their participation in the crime they commit.

Our Mission is two-fold. Fair Chance Project represents a movement led by liberated lifers (formerly incarcerated men and women), prisoners and loved ones of term to life prisoners organized around the demand for just sentencing laws and fair parole practices. Additionally, the group integrates formerly incarcerated men and women back into society enabling them to “give back and to help build strong, self-sustaining communities”
Getting Out by Going In (GOGI) is a positive cultural movement created by prisoners for other prisoners that serves as an alternative to the violence and crime rampant in U.S. prisons.
GOGI programming further supports the positive decision-making of the U.S. prison population and better prepares them for success upon their release.
Re:store Justice works in partnership with incarcerated people, survivors of crime, district attorneys, and the community. Our mission is to re-imagine and reform our criminal justice system to be one of true inclusion and justice.

The California Innocence Project is a law school clinic, founded in 1999 at California Western School of Law, dedicated to freeing the innocent, training law students, and changing laws and policies in the state of California. The California Innocence Project has freed many innocent people from prison, trained hundreds of outstanding law students who have gone on to become excellent attorneys, and changed multiple California laws to improve the justice system.

The Prison Law Office is a nonprofit public interest law firm based in Berkeley, California that provides free legal services to adult and juvenile offenders to improve their conditions of confinement. The office provides direct services to thousands of prisoners and juveniles each year, advocates for policy changes, and, if necessary, engages in impact litigation to ensure that correctional institutions meet standards required by the U.S. Constitution.
