If your loved one has a restitution fee, a separate 1839 Restitution Exemption Form must be filled out by the family member and sent through the mail to the Cashier’s Department along with a money order or cashier’s check made out to the Institution. Please write the inmate ’s name and CDC# on the bottom note area where the check or money order is made. Restitution Exemption payments take 30 days to clear into the Inmates Trust Account.
